Standard BS EN ISO 14001:1996. Carcarc and other organisations are increasingly concerned to achieve and demonstrate sound environmental performance by controlling the impact of their activities on the environment. In order to do this effectively an organisation must assess its environmental performance within a structured management system. There are numerous benefits of implementing the ISO14001 with promoting sound environmental management resulting in prevention of environmental problems and consequently in economic savings. Carcarc identifies our organisation as an environmental leader within its field and providing a framework by which to respond to environmental inquiries from customers and other interested parties and introducing a systematic approach to environmental management, allowing the EMS to become integral to our organisation’s business, providing order and consistency: making the EMS system rather than person dependant. |

Waste Carriers Licence: “Businesses are required by law to take all reasonable steps to keep waste safe. If you give waste to someone else, you must be sure they are authorised to take it and can transport, recycle or dispose of it safely. If you break this law, you can be fined an unlimited amount. To find out more about waste duty of care legislation and what you need to do, visit the DEFRA website. The duty of care applies to anyone who produces or imports, keeps or stores, transports, treats or disposes of waste. It also applies if you act as a broker and arrange these things.” DEFRA. |
